Alton Towers

This event was all about celebrating 20 years of Rita; Alton Towers' Intamin Rocket. The event started with registration in the Towers Suite with light refreshments included in the price this time, so everyone could grab a brew or cold drink before heading out onto the park.

After a few hours of free time in the park, we headed back into the Towers Suite for a silly quiz by Scott, followed by a technical talk about Rita where we all learnt about the operational and engineering aspects of the coaster.

To end the day, we had an hour of Exclusive Ride Time (ERT) on Rita with everyone managing to fit in a lot of laps. Shortly after this event, Rita went down for a lengthy period of downtime before shortly reopening, and going down again for another two months. We're glad we were able to celebrate its 20th anniversary on this event day.
