Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Wood, Steel & PDT - May 2022
It was back to Blackpool for an early season weekender with Exclusive Ride Time sessions, a track walk, a scare maze, a party and more all happening over two days. The event officially started in The Hub, on the former space of the Wild Mouse inside the Pleasure Beach.
During event registration in The Hub, we all had some breakfast which was a choice of sausage or bacon butties, and then shortly after we were officially welcomed to the event, and park, by Andy Hygate (director of operations) and Jayson Taylor (head of entertainment).

The first Exclusive Ride Time (ERT) session was an hour on ICON, this is always a fun way to start off a Pleasure Beach event. During this time, a small number of attendees were chosen at random to experience ENSŌ, the new for 2022 spinning seat experience on ICON.

Later that day was the usual Log Flume take over, soakings were guaranteed but luckily the weather was gorgeous and nobody was worried about getting a soaking.

At park close we took an exclusive walk around the Grand Prix track, this was an awesome opportunity to take in the views around this attraction at walking pace and not whilst trying to keep a moving vehicle going in the right direction. Andy Hygate and his team at Pleasure Beach gave us interesting insights about the Grand Prix, and nearby attractions during the walk round.

We ended the first day with a Pasaje del Terror take over, then a meal and party in the Horror Bar.

Day two was a little bit more relaxed, it started off with a Grand National ERT session before Pleasure Beach opened and at park close we had a little takeover of the Big One before everyone headed home.
Little did we know at the time that this would be our last ever Pleasure Beach Experience event at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. A great way to sign off on our Club Pleasure Beach in Blackpool era.
