America 2025

East Coastin' Experience - June 2025

Following on from the successful America event in June 2022, we were determined to go bigger and better with East Coastin' Experience in June 2025;

🎡 10 Amusement/Theme Parks
🎢 80+ Roller coasters
🏩 6 Hotels
🎠 Exclusive Ride Time & Behind The Scenes tours
🚌 1 Coach of awesome people!

The trip started at New York JFK where group transportation began and we took a trip down to New Jersey to check in at our first hotel for two nights, our journey gave us a glance at Times Square and some of NYC.

The first park of the trip was Six Flags Great Adventure and it was an action packed start;

⚡️ Exclusive Ride Time (ERT) on The Flash: Vertical Velocity for 45 minutes

🎢 "Wood is good" - well for some people! El Toro is one of the biggest roller coasters in the world, some of the group loved it, others didn't

💦 Log Flume takeover! It wouldn't be one of our events without a water ride takeover

😎 VIP Flash Pass wristbands for everyone

No Kingda Ka was obviously a disappointment, but Six Flags Great Adventure was still a great way to start.

Day 2 of East Coastin' Experience took us to Morey's Piers!

⚡️ This place has an electric atmosphere, we loved that! The rides and attractions are spread out across three piers with lots of small shops, food stalls and other outlets along the boardwalk

🎠 A mix of coasters, flat rides, water rides and water parks! Loads to do!!

👎 No Great White (woodie on the beach)

Overall, a fantastic day!

Day 3 of East Coastin' Experience took us to Six Flags America, quite literally a one and done visit! Six Flags America will close forever in November 2025.

🎢 Wood is GOOD! The Wild One is a fabulous wooden coaster. It's a real shame that this coaster will probably be scrapped at the end of this year

🎠 In certain areas, this theme park is well kept and looks nice. Walking through some of it made it hard to believe this park was being shut down for good

👎 Ride availability was terrible, so much downtime across the park including coasters being closed due to "cold weather" in 31 degree celsius heat!

Strange day which went from boiling hot to boiling hot with torrential rain and thunderstorms. It was quite a relief to be away from here and heading to the comfort of a nice hotel, and it was our longest hotel stay (3 nights) of the trip.

Day 4 of East Coastin' Experience took us to the fabulous Busch Gardens Williamsburg, this day was action packed with the following highlights;

🎢 Exclusive Ride Time on Pantheon, Apollo's Chariot & Tempesto

👀 Behind The Scenes featuring Griffon and Alpengeist

🤩 LOADS of brilliant rides

A fantastic day in a fantastic theme park, we'd love to visit this park again in the future.

Day 5 took us to Kings Dominion which from an organiser's point of view was a challenging day!

😢 Entry into the park was slow with non-event attendees pushing through the turnstiles ignoring the park staff, following this our ERT on Rapterra was cut short due to downtime. Event attendees were given ride exit passes to compensate the ERT problems

😥 No Pantherian (i305)

🤩 Still lots of good stuff to do, and a nice atmosphere around the park!

From the organiser point of view it was an extremely challenging start to the day and it was difficult to see past that, especially with other non-event issues during the first half of the day. It did however improve massively as the day went on, and as a team we felt pretty happy knowing everyone was boarding the group coach at park close with happy comments and smiling faces. A tough day, but a good one overall.

Day 6 of East Coastin' Experience took us to two parks; Adventure Park USA & Dutch Wonderland

🚌 BIG travel day split up with two park visits

😂 Adventure Park USA - This was fun! The staff were shocked to see 50+ Brits/Europeans arrive on mass and start riding the shameless creds (the park was empty other than us lot). We all managed to get on the coaster creds that were open, and enjoy Dippin' Dots

🎢 Dutch Wonderland - a fun little family theme park where we all quickly ticked off the creds and managed to do some of the smaller stuff too, like the Log Flume. Some of us also took the chance to nip over to the outlets across the road and grab some new trainers (and ice cream)

The long journey was made easier with the two cred stops 😅

Day 7 of East Coastin' Experience took us to the amazing Knoebels Amusement Resort, and what a day this was!

🤩 BEST. EVENT. EVER!

🎢 Phoenix Exclusive Ride Time, probably the best hour of coaster riding some of us have had

🎠 This park is special, one of the best. There's literally something for everyone, the staff are wonderful, the prices are very reasonable, ride throughputs are good and the atmosphere is amazing

In our 12 years of running coaster enthusiast events, this is without a doubt our best event so far, we love Knoebels!

Day 8 of East Coastin' Experience took us to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, a park that doesn't get much hype for some reason. Here's some highlights from the day;

🎢 Exclusive Ride Time on Iron Menace. A good quality B&M Dive Coaster!

⚡️ Unlimited fast pass wristbands

🙃 Dorney Park has a very good selection of rides, why isn't this park getting more hype?!

The park has a nice atmosphere to go with the good selection of rides, and we'd definitely like to return in the future.

Day 9 and the last theme park day of East Coastin' Experience took us to Hersheypark, a theme park stacked with good roller coasters, good thrill rides, fun water rides and lots of chocolate! Most of the group also went to Hersheypark for two hours of "preview hours" the night before too.

By this point of the trip there was a lot of fatigue setting in, but everyone managed to push on for the remaining coaster creds they needed to tick off 😅

For me (Scott) it was a chill day, I charged around Hersheypark last year getting all the creds and this time I took a much more chilled approach to the day. It was a great park to end the trip on though, it was very good to see everyone loving their rides on Skyrush and Wildcat's Revenge.

As well as our trip reports above, there's YouTube vlogs from this trip on Your Experience Guide, Coaster Crazy and Coaster Dad, some of those are linked below

Overall, as a team we were absolutely delighted how this trip went but we know we can improve on our USA event trips further, this was only the second time we've done anything like this and intend to offer a better event for everyone each time we organise one.

Your Experience Guide was responsible for organising group transportation for the group in America, park tickets, park perks such as ERT and tours, hotels and more!

Event trips with Your Experience Guide are the perfect way for you to enjoy an American theme park tour without the stress of organising all of your own transport, hotels and park tickets. Keep an eye out on our social media pages for information about the next trip to the US, expected to be in June 2027.
