Liseberg
June 2019
It was back to Liseberg for our second event weekender at the amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden. The year before, our event weekender was shared with a coaster club from the Netherlands, and on this occasion we shared a day of activity with American group Theme Park Review.

The event started with early access to the amusement park which was ideal, it gave us all the opportunity to get on some of the major attractions before the park got busy. It was unseasonably warm for Sweden during this weekend and as a result, the park was extremely busy. We ended the first day with two Exclusive Ride Time sessions running alongside each other, one at Helix and one at Balder. Over at Helix, the PBE group were given an unexpected behind the scenes tour where we got to see the Helix trains being switched off the main track, and into the maintenance garage, our youngest group member Abbie was invited to dispatch the last train on its way into the maintenance shed.

The second day of the event was exclusively our group and started off with us entering the Balder ride area to sign our names onto the ride's structure. This is perfectly normal at Liseberg, they allow enthusiast groups and influencers to sign Balder throughout the season. Following on from this we all enjoyed free time at the park before taking over Valkryia for another ERT session, and finishing up by sitting in the maintenance shed watching all of the trains being parked away for the night ahead of their evening inspections.

Special shout out to Pontus who was our host, and Chris Ryan & Andrew Thornton for their excellent event photography.
